Job description:
A new and exciting position for someone who can develop creative and tangible solutions to strengthen Tasmania’s borders.
About the role
The Program Coordinator (Border Surveillance) will be responsible for implementing recommendations from the Centre for Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis (CEBRA) review of Tasmania’s domestic border interventions.
- Develop and implement a process for the collection of information and data.
- Analyse information and data to support prioritisation, resource allocation activities, and decision-making to address biosecurity risks.
- Ensure effective and efficient biosecurity risk systems are developed and maintained.
- Effectively liaise and network with stakeholders.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- A Degree, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent level, in a field relating to biosecurity, agriculture or science as relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
