Job description:

This position contributes to the successful delivery of a new ICT system to support the expansion of the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Expansion (RWVP-E) Scheme. To deliver data integration, migration and analytics solutions through analysis, design and development.

Period of Appointment

12 months.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • Analyse and document system integration, data migration and analytics requirements through working with and identifying issues with the business, external partners and technical SME’s.
  • Develop system integration, data migration and analytics technical architecture in consultation with the Solution Architect.
  • Document development standards and procedures.
  • Develop system integration specifications, data maps and reporting models.
  • Design, develop and test solution code and components.
  • Document designs and code for support.
  • Maintain a high level of code quality and conduct quality checks on team deliverables.
  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions with technical specialists and business SMEs.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with internal and external system specialists to plan and conduct unit and end-to-end testing.
  • Assist the Solution Architect in the review of internal and vendor-delivered documents and specifications.
  • The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

  • A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.

Desirable Requirements

    • Experience using some or all of the following software/tools:
    • JavaScript, C#, PowerShell, Python, VBScript
    • REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
    • Experience working with Microsoft and/or Amazon cloud data services (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), especially:
      • Data services
      • Storage and Data Lake services
      • Integration services
      • Web platform services
    • Azure DevOps or similar continuous integration/continuous deployment tools
    • Business Intelligence products such as Power BI, QlikView or similar.
  • Working experience in Agile development practices.
  • Business process analysis and process improvement.
