Job description:

Exciting opportunity to use your strong technical skills and knowledge and apply these to the Department of Treasury and Finance’s cybersecurity operations and improvements area.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity to use your strong technical skills and knowledge and apply these to the Department of Treasury and Finance’s cybersecurity operations and improvements area.

As part of a small team, you will provide information and technology associated security advice to a range of stakeholders, undertake or oversee cybersecurity improvement projects and initiatives, and assist with delivering ICT security related outcomes to the Department.

You will need:

  • Deep technical understanding and hands-on experience in developing and applying risk-based approaches to enhance cybersecurity of modern IT infrastructure, services, and solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the Department.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Advanced analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competence in making security related recommendations that address complex business needs.

About the branch

Treasury’s Information and Technology Services branch provide information and technology advice and assistance to the Department, and support branches with their use of information and technology to improve efficiency, services, and outcomes. This includes managing and delivering technology and information management related projects.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.

Desirable Requirements

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
