Job description:

The purpose of the role is to supervise and co-ordinate the valuation activities of a team of valuers on a regional basis and perform a range of complex statutory valuations, client valuations and compulsory acquisition valuations.

About the role

The Office of the Valuer General (OVG) is seeking a Valuer – Team Leader to join a diverse team of professionals. In this role, you will:

  • Undertake a range of statutory, client, and compulsory acquisition valuations across the state.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, mentoring, and training to 4-5 direct reports.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate quality control programs within the OVG.
  • Represent the OVG and liaise with key stakeholders.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Essential requirements

  • A degree in (state appropriate degree relevant to the position and the technical specialist expertise required) relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university.
  • Meet the necessary qualifications to practice as a Land Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 2001.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.

Desirable requirements

  • Working experience in statutory rating valuations & compulsory property acquisition valuations.
