Job description:

Exciting opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse to join the Department of Health!

The role:

The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care and support to outpatients and attending Specialist Medical Aged care and Rehabilitation Clinics at the Statton Clinic facility, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of the CNC- Rehabilitation to achieve planned patient outcomes.

The Statton Clinic Facility:

Royal Hobart Hospital Outpatient Clinics operate out of the Statton Clinic Facility at the Repatriation Centre.

You will be working within a small team of Nursing staff to support outpatients, Medical Specialists and admin staff, by providing Nursing services directly to patients as requested by Medical Specialists.

The Team:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team providing outpatient clinic services to patients with a diverse range of aged care and rehabilitation needs.
  • Work in a well equipped facility
  • Regular supervision and support is provided

You will need:

  1. Sound knowledge of the principles of nursing care, procedures, and practices.
  2. Demonstrated ability to practice in a manner that respects the right of individuals and groups.
  3. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated assessment, problem solving and organisational skills.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing in November 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
