Job description:

This position contributes to the successful positioning of the Clinical Governance Unit in Clinical Quality Regulation and Accreditation to provide high quality accountable and measurable healthcare by providing high level administrative support to the staff assigned to the Clinical Governance Unit.

The Team:

This is your opportunity to join our team in the Clinical Governance Unit of Clinical Quality, Regulation and Accreditation at the Department of Health. The role is based in the Hobart CBD and will report to the Manager Accreditation Preparation.

The focus of our unit is to lead a safe high quality and patient centred health system guided by evidence, driven by continuous improvement and strengthened through collaboration across the health system.  Through the implementation of systems to support clinical governance, accreditation, clinical networks and quality improvement we support and lead statewide quality improvement programs.  You will be working alongside an amazing and diverse group who are passionate about the Tasmanian Health Service CARE values - Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. 

The Role:

  • Manage communication flow, preparation of correspondence, promotion of events and scheduling training programs/meetings.   
  • Collate, schedule and prepare minutes and agendas for designated meetings, including maintaining document filing, monitoring membership records and arranging meeting facilities.
  • Research compile and coordinate background data briefings, analyse, graph and collate reports/information for specific programs and projects.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, flexibility, sound judgement and discretion including the ability to interpret and analyse information and recommend or decide on appropriate action.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyse, graph and collate information for specific programs and projects.
  • Well-developed written communication skills including the ability to write complex documents within short timeframes under minimal supervision.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
