The Team:
We are looking for an organised and compassionate Senior Administrative Officer to become an integral part of our Oncology/Haematology Clinical Trials team. In this pivotal role, you will work alongside healthcare professionals and support staff who are committed to providing exceptional care to patients.
As a key team member, you will help provide business management support in relation to financial resources by processing, entering, coordinating, and maintaining invoices, debt recovery, account reminders, and study costing for the Clinical Trials Department to support business activities and reporting in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
The Role:
Under guidance and supervision of the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Oncology/Haematology Clinical Trials and the Stream Business Manager, the Senior Administration Officer - Clinical Trials provides high level financial, business and administrative support to the Clinic Trials Department. This includes:
- Undertaking financial transactional and reconciliation processes for the Clinical Trials Department within relevant service standards, legislation and Departmental policies and procedures.
- Providing high level administrative support and advice to the CNC - Oncology/Haematology Clinical Trials to ensure smooth operation of financial matters.
You will need:
- Ability to undertake supervisory duties and support administrative staff to ensure efficient administrative support for the Clinical Trials Department.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a clinical setting, together with experience in contemporary office management practices and use of office management and health information software including Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
- Demonstrated experience with database management with the ability to monitor data integrity and investigating/auditing data to ensure compliance and conformity of system used by all stakeholders.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for 6 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: General Stream Band 4
$81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
