The Role:

  • In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment.
  • Understand and adhere to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a strong team approach and positive culture.
  • Contribute to the review and development and revision of documentation relating to nursing based best practice in the defined practice area.
  • Participate and contribute to a learning environment, through continuing education and professional development opportunities. 

You will need 

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. 
  • Current knowledge of, and ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registered Nurse standards of practice.
  • Display sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting.
  • Ability to undertake patient / client education in the practice setting, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. 

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro-rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

Regional Allowances

  • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%
