Job description:

Join our Recruitment Services team and play a key role in delivering efficient and compliant recruitment services for the Department of Health. In this role, you’ll manage various recruitment processes, prepare professional correspondence, and support managers to ensure timely and accurate outcomes. We’re looking for people with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. The Team

Join our dynamic Recruitment Services Team as a Recruitment Officer, where you'll play a key role in supporting recruitment operations. This position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of tasks, including preparing professional recruitment correspondence and efficiently processing recruitment requests. The Role

The Recruitment Officer will:

  • Provide high level administrative support to the Recruitment Services Team in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Prepare recruitment related correspondence, process instruments of appointment and assist with recruitment and vacancy filling requests.
  • Deal with broad ranging telephone enquiries from internal and external stakeholders and exercise discretion when referring queries to the Recruitment Team Leader and/or Recruitment Liaison Officer.
  • Create, distribute, search for, retrieve and supply records and documents to the Recruitment Services Team. Ensure confidentiality of records and data is strictly maintained.
  • Collate and coordinate information including overseas applications, immigration visas and medical recruitment requirements such as college registration.

You will need to be able to:

  • Communicate with tact and diplomacy; confidently explain recruitment and payroll processes to a wide range of stakeholders and build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Show capacity to understand the Tasmanian State Service legislative framework as it applies to recruitment; perform duties specific to recruitment processes in a timely manner.
  • Use initiative to plan, organise and prioritise work in a time critical environment.

Details of appointment

Multiple full time day worker positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a 12-month period. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Note. these are Statewide positions and can be based in either Hobart or Launceston.  Please specify your preferred location when you complete the application form.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
