The Team:
Population Screening and Cancer Prevention oversees the delivery of the three national population cancer screening programs to the Tasmanian population, including breast, bowel and cervical cancer screening. The business unit also delivers the Tasmanian Diagnostic Breast Imaging Service, a new service that provides public diagnostic breast imaging to Tasmanians.
The Role:
The Business Operations Manager manages the operational administrative functions for PSCP’s services, covering a broad range of areas, including finance, human resources, procurement, logistics and asset management.
- Manage operational planning processes and supports financial processes including the development of business cases.
- Provide high level advice and support to the Group Director PSCP and managers on establishment management, including recruitment, contract management, leave analysis and provide information, support, and advice to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage asset and facilities including procurement, ensuring assets meet and are maintained according to relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
You will need:
- Proven management skills including a demonstrated ability to manage financial, human, and physical resources.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in procurement processes and contract management, with the ability to develop business cases, and manage, monitor, negotiate, and evaluate services provided.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and conflict resolution skills and effectively liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a 6-month period.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
