Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
The Principal Consultant is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of frameworks, supporting plans and resources to underpin Homes Tasmania’s strategic governance framework. This includes :
- Organisational planning and performance reporting
- Risk Management
- Governance related committees including the Homes Tasmania Board and associated advisory committees.
The role will also:
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to the Manager, Governance, Risk and Compliance and divisions on the implementation of related plans and performance reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with Right to Information and Personal Information Protection legislation
- Support senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement;
- Provide supervision and support to assigned staff within the business unit.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- High level research and analytical skills, including relevant experience in developing, implementing, reporting on performance of and maintaining strategic governance and risk frameworks.
- High level knowledge and understanding of relevant standards, legislation and service models for organisational governance, risk management, strategic and business planning, performance reporting and associated principles and practices, together with the proven ability to interpret and develop relevant policy and legislation.
- High-level interpersonal skills, including consultation, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with and support the Divisions.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documents in a variety of communication formats for a range of target audiences.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
