Job description:

Provide clinical leadership and maintain optimal physiotherapy care relating to Pelvic Health services within the Northern region of Tasmania. Coordinate the inpatient and outpatient services for pelvic health, based at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), including the provision of skilled assessment and intervention this for population. Contribute to the evaluation and development of the service at the unit and organisational level. Operationally support and professionally govern the physiotherapy resources for pelvic health and additionally for lymphoedema and paediatrics services which are part of the physiotherapy clinical stream

This important role will see you taking on this leadership role in the life changing physiotherapy services we provide within the pelvic health, paediatrics and lymphoedema fields, covering pelvic health clinics and maternity ward; paediatric inpatient ward and outpatient clinics and outpatient lymphoedema services. You will inspire an engaged group, who will be keen to grow from your knowledge and experiences. Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, 16 February 2026 until 7 September 2027.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: 

$123,717 to $134,336 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • $1,000 per annum entitlement for professional development course fees (daily wage, flights, accommodation, daily allowance paid in addition to this)

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Professional qualification or equivalent level of recognised professional competency, or working towards such a qualification/competency, that supports this position

  • Current Driver’s Licence

  • We welcome applications from physiotherapists with demonstrated extensive physiotherapy clinical experience working at a senior level in the field of pelvic health, lymphoedema or paediatrics
