The Team:
The Rehabilitation Unit is the major centre for Rehabilitation in Tasmania delivering team-based rehabilitation to patients who have experienced strokes, brain and spinal injuries, major multi-trauma, amputation and re-conditioning post long acute hospital stays.
The Role:
This role is part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team working together to support patients reach their rehabilitation goals.

You will need:
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working 58 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 27 March 2026
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
