
The Role:
Under the direction of the Manager Statewide Revenue, the Private Practice Scheme (PPS) Coordinator will:
- Support the Manager – Statewide Revenue and the Staff Specialist Private Patient Scheme Management Committees in the administration of Statewide PPS activities and processes.
- Support members of the PPS in accessing professional advice to maintain compliance with the Medicare Benefits Schedule and associated requirements.
- Provide high-level consultative advice and support to the Manager – Statewide Revenue, the Finance and Business Support management team, the Department’s Executive and the PPS Advisory Committees on a broad range of issues relating to the scheme, including providing regular reporting and acting as the key contact for PPS matters.
You will need to:
- Support the operation of the PPS Advisory Committees, including coordinating the flow of documentation and reports, organizing meetings, and arranging communications between the PPS Advisory Committees, participating specialists, the Department and external entities as required.
- Oversee the recording of contributions to the PPS and the calculation and distribution of disbursements from the PPS in accordance with the PPS Rules.
- Support members of the PPS and the PPS Advisory Committees in accessing professional advice to maintain compliance with the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), Health Insurance Act 1973, Private Health Insurance rules and other associated legislative, legal or professional requirements.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
