Job description:

Undertake the daily management of the Central Kitchen, within the Acute Hospital, working to deliver high quality services and products to our clients. Implementation (where applicable), supervision and monitoring of a food safety program, Provide support, direction and supervision to the catering team, Responsible for all aspects of food production, from purchasing to service of ready to eat meals to high-risk patients, staff and visitors, Maintain a hygienic kitchen environment, complying with all relevant standards, Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes for clients.

The Role:

  • We’re looking for a dedicated Food Services Supervisor to support and lead our team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role, you’ll help guide a diverse group of individuals, working collaboratively to overcome challenges and deliver excellent service.
  • You’ll manage ordering, rostering, HR tasks, budgets, maintain our food safety plan, and oversee our electronic menu management system.
  • Experience in healthcare settings and managing special dietary requirements is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure are essential. If you’re a positive, organised leader who enjoys fostering a supportive team environment, we look forward to hearing from you.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 2 January 2026. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Certificate III in Cookery or equivalent

  • Food Safety Supervisors Certification (HLTFSE001, HLTFSE007 & HLTFES005) or equivalent

  • Current Driver’s Licence

  • Proven experience in an acute hospital setting
