The Team:
In this role, you will contribute to the strategic planning, policy development, and service improvement initiatives/projects that support Tasmanians to receive care in their homes and/or communities.
You’ll work within a collaborative team to shape and deliver person-centred care statewide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policy and project initiatives aligned with Home & Community Care initiative.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery.
- Support data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to strategic planning and program evaluation.
The Role:
Under the broad direction of the Principal Policy Officer and Executive Director of Services, to deliver high-level policy analysis and advice; draft high-level documentation and implement projects aligned with the program’s strategic policy agenda; and provide guidance to other team members as required.
You will need:
- Support the Principal Policy Officer and Office of the Executive Director of Services in achieving agreed objectives and outcomes by undertaking strategic projects as required.
- Utilise project management strategies to contribute to the formulation and delivery of designated projects, including identifying complex and challenging issues, and contributing to the development of solutions to deliver project activities and outcomes.
- Undertake assigned project activities, ensuring they align with Agency policies, procedures, core business and relevant legislation, and contribute to the development of operational solutions, guidelines, and recommendations for improved service delivery outcomes.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 24 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
