The Team:

The People Services Branch provides the operational and business functions of People and Culture (P&C) to the Department of Health, including assistance and advice (through People Connect), data analytics, payroll, and recruitment services.

People Connect serves as the primary P&C point of contact for internal and external stakeholders who are seeking further information, advice or support. The People Connect service provides timely, consistent advice across a wide range of queries and supports an integrated, client-centred experience.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the Manager People Connect role is to:

  • Provide operational and strategic direction and leadership to the statewide People Connect Team who perform a range of people service activities, including maintaining the self-service portal, Advice Line, and escalated matters before redirection to relevant Centres of Expertise.
  • Proactively manage cases and ensure matters are resolved or referred by the team within agreed timeframes.   
  • Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement in all areas of operations including resource management, building skills and capabilities in the team, and continuously improving processes, systems and the knowledge base.
  • Contribute to projects focused on process improvement, policy review, and data integrity.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Formal Qualification in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years previous HR Specialist experience ideally in a shared services environment
