Job description:

The position of Outpatient  – Team Leader, is a leadership position that is instrumental in developing the team through task allocation, rostering, training, providing or arranging the support required for success and managing any other issue that impinges on the efficient flow of work within the clinic admin area.

The Team:

There are four important themes for a successful appointment scheduling clerk including being the warm, friendly and welcoming face providing reception services, accuracy and attention to detail in data entry tasks, a strong work ethic and being part of a friendly and supportive team. The Role:

The position of Outpatient  – Team Leader, is a leadership position that is instrumental in developing the team through task allocation, rostering, training, providing or arranging the support required for success and managing any other issue that impinges on the efficient flow of work within the clinic admin area. In short the coordination of a group of well trained and motivated staff that contributes to the efficient flow of patients through Outpatient Clinics.

You will need:

  • Knowledge of and experience in contemporary office administration including the ability to plan, organise, set priorities and work effectively and efficiently to achieve set objectives and meet deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Sound understanding of people management, with the ability to supervise, lead and motivate a dynamic team of reception and data entry staff together with the capacity to problem solve, coordinate reception services, and achieve objectives to meet operational service delivery standards.
  • Well-developed ability to work individually and as a member of a team together with interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with and inform a wide range of clients and health professionals through verbal and written communication and liaison.
  • Proven ability to work with general supervision and direction in a team environment and to actively contribute to improving service delivery through the reviewing and evaluation of operational practices and standards.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
