Job description:

Provide high-level executive, secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Director of Service, Home & Community Care (EDOS HCC).

The Team:

The Office of the Executive Director of Service within the Department of Health Tasmania operates at the heart of strategic service delivery and executive leadership. The team supports the Executive Director in overseeing statewide health services, ensuring alignment with government priorities and community needs. It provides high-level administrative, governance, and operational support, enabling effective decision-making and coordination across service areas.

The Role:

Provide high-level executive, secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Director of Service, Home & Community Care (EDOS HCC). As a member of the Office of EDOS HCC, demonstrate a high degree of initiative and confidentiality and be the primary point of contact for the Office.

You will need:

  • Proven experience and understanding of the provision of executive support in a demanding senior management environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, consultation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills and have the capacity to plan, organise, set priorities, and work effectively both individually and as a member of a team in an environment subject to work pressures and change.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management principles with the ability to undertake research, prepare reports and submissions and assist in the planning and coordination of activities.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
