Welcome to King Island Hospital and Health Centre! Our friendly team works closely together as part of the Department of Health to provide caring, high-quality support to our community. As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in delivering a range of activities to the residents in our 14 bed Aged Care Facility Netherby Home, while being fully supported as part of our Aged Care Team. We’re all here to help make sure the Residents of Netherby Home get the best care possible in a warm, respectful, and welcoming environment
The Role:
The Activities Coordinator will work as part of the team to plan and supervise tailored activity programs for our residents in Netherby Home, ensuring their individual interests, cultural backgrounds, and wellbeing are respected and promoted.
- A Certificate or experience in a health or care-related field, preferably with experience as an activities coordinator.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, staff, volunteers, and culturally diverse groups.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate activities independently, along with knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational), working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $63,110 to $66,049 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
