
The Team:
Prison Mental Health is a newly instated service that provides case management to prisoners who have a diagnosis of major mental illness. We are a small diverse team that work closely with multidisciplinary teams both with in the custodial setting and community on release. We currently have 75 inmates open to our service, yet this number is ever changing. Our team consists of Psychiatrists, a CNC that leads the team and small team of case managers. The Role:
- Undertakes a range of high-level administrative functions for Prisoner Mental Health Services.
- Provides high level day to day administrative support services to the relevant team.
- Undertake the management of the client databases and client record systems including filing and retrieval of information.

You will need:
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, contemporary office management practices, including knowledge of medical terminology or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, with well-developed computer skills and sound organisational skills.
- Ability to assist with the training and guidance of less experienced administrative staff, and the orientation of new employees, including delegating administrative duties to ensure the development of team members.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, including the ability to cooperate and work well with other team members both in the administrative and clinical areas, respect the needs and ideas of others, provide support and assistance to team members, resolve conflicts, and appropriately share information with team members.

Details of appointment:
Fixed Term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for approximately a 12-month Period.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Allowance:
Correctional allowance of 6.5%
