The Team:
- The NESMH is situated in Scottsdale, North East Tasmania – the gateway to adventure. World class Mountain bike trails, magnificent National Parks and beaches are situated in close proximity to the hospital.
- Scottsdale is a well serviced town and only one hour from the city of Launceston and airport.
The NESMH is the largest rural hospital in Tasmania. It is a Tier 1 facility with a catchment area of 3,196km² and a population catchment of just over 6,600 people. The NESMH has 18 acute beds, 3 bed emergency department, community nursing services plus a range of community health services. As is the nature of rural hospitals all NESMH services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the North-East Tasmanian community. The NESMH has close links with the Launceston General Hospital Radiology Department.
The Role:
The Radiographer at North-Eastern Soldiers Memorial Hospital (NESMH) is responsible for performing general radiographic imaging as well as related administration. NESMH Radiography is a sole radiographic position that offers general radiographic services 0800-1600hrs weekdays, providing imaging for admitted inpatients, outpatient’s and emergency department.
The key duties/responsibilities of the role are:
- to perform general imaging procedures, exercising professional judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation in relation to the imaging.
- Work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 7.6 hours per fortnight, working every second Friday commencing as soon as you can join our team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
- Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
- Licensed to practice under Tasmanian Radiation Protection Act 2005 and the Radiation Protection Regulations 2016
