
The Team:
Tasmania is part of a nationwide program of work that is delivering innovations in the treatment of eating disorders. The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a new service, that delivers integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder. This includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, North-West and South.
The Role:
As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality Mental Health Services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.
The Administrative Assistant – TEDS will:
• Provide day to day administrative support to TEDS.
• Contributes towards optimal administrative and business support processes at the local level.
The Role:
- Provide the first contact facility for clients and relatives, relaying information and calls immediately to the appropriate professionals.
- Provide a specialized clerical facility for the TEDS, interview clients/relatives for registration details and update the computerized record.
- Liaise with other Mental Health Services personnel as well as external agencies and stakeholders.
- Typing of administrative and clinical correspondence and reports, including preparation of agendas and Minutes.
- Maintain statistical collection for the TEDS.
- Provide clerical support to Service site staff involving organizing appointments, daily lists and retrieval of client files and other duties as required.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing on as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
