
The Team:
Work as part of a dedicated nursing and midwifery education team for Hospitals South. This position has the portfolio of the medical specialty's unit of ward 7A at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Work with other nurse and midwifery educators in meeting the strategic needs of our professions through leading education, learning and development.
The Role:
This role requires the demonstrated abilities to apply high level knowledge of nursing practice and standards to education program design, implementation and evaluation in meeting the Nursing and Midwifery strategic priorities and building workforce capability. The role requires demonstrated abilities to apply teaching and learning methods with nurses working in the clinical practice environment.
You will need
- Ability to evaluate nursing practice with an understanding of best patient healthcare outcomes.
- High level written and interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary context.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety and the principles of workplace diversity and the legal, ethical and professional practice standards related to nursing practice.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately four (4) months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
