Job description:

This role will primarily involve cleaning and kitchen hand duties, with a strong emphasis on infection prevention and control.

The Team:

The Flinders Island Multipurpose Centre (FIMPC) is a vital hub for community and allied health services on Flinders Island, dedicated to supporting the local community through a wide range of healthcare services. Our facility includes 5 acute beds, 3 emergency department beds, and 9 residential aged care beds.

The Role:

The FIMPC are currently seeking a Relief Multi-Skilled Domestic to join our team. This role will primarily involve cleaning and kitchen hand duties, with a strong emphasis on infection prevention and control. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for both staff and residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of hygiene across the facility.
  • Assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and cleaning duties.
  • Following strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ensuring all areas are consistently maintained to meet infection prevention standards.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, shift worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $59,930 to $61,637 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
