Job description:

Working across Mersey Community Hospital and North West Regional Hospital, this position contributes to the successful positioning of the Patient Safety Service to provide high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare, both internally and externally.

The Team:

Quality and Patient Safety Team comprises a diverse team that work within the North West Hospitals and Primary Care Sites. All our team work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in Quality and Safety healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

Working across Mersey Community Hospital and North West Regional Hospital, this position contributes to the successful positioning of the Patient Safety Service to provide high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare, both internally and externally.

We are seeking someone who has strong interpersonal skills and who can develop rapport and maintain effective communication with health professionals and consumers from varied backgrounds and experiences. As a member of the Quality and Patient Safety team, the Patient Safety Advisor contributes to the successful positioning of the North West Quality and Safety Service by providing quality, accountable and measurable healthcare. This is achieved by:

  • Ensuring the principles of continuous quality improvement are applied in the delivery of the services within the Patient Safety Service.
  • Promoting and ensuring a proactive, integrated, innovative and multi-disciplinary approach to continual improvement, which includes the active engagement of consumers in the development and implementation of quality improvement projects and the coordination of THS NW Policy documents.
  • Active participation in continuous improvement through the Consumer Feedback program.  
  • Meeting Key Performance Indicators and Statewide Compliance and accreditation requirements

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
