Job description:

As an educator for the SPCS team, you will support the learning of the team, delivering expert support in the field of nursing and palliative care.  For further details please refer to the statement of duties.

The Team:

The Specialist Palliative Care Team is a dynamic multidisciplinary team servicing the North West of Tasmania.  As a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health, we support patient and their families in the community on their palliative journey as well as clinicians within the Acute RACF and Community settings with clinical knowledge support and guidance.  Our team works closely together to achieve excellence in healthcare and improved outcomes for our consumers.  

The Role:

As an educator for the SPCS team, you will support the learning of the team, delivering expert support in the field of nursing and palliative care.  For further details please refer to the statement of duties. 

You will need

  • Hold or working towards postgraduate qualification in palliative care (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)

Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from the 24th of March 2025 until 27th of March 2026

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

  • Current Driver's Licence.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Holds or is working towards relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in specialised palliative care management with experience working in the community setting.

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
