The Team:
Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, and the Department of Medical Imaging with the RHH provides imaging for all of Southern Tasmania. Medical Imaging provides services across all Imaging modalities to the hospital, clinics and Emergency department. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
Provide day-to-day management of the CT Service, ensuring the provision of safe and compassionate patient centred care founded on excellence in practice, teaching and research, respect, and inclusive leadership.
As the Senior Specialist Radiographer for the CT Service, provide expert advice and foster staff development and continuous quality improvement of services.
- Responsible for the efficient and effective use of human and financial resources allocated within CT, ensuring competence and accountability of staff.
- Develop, implement, and review policies, protocols and Quality Assurance programs regarding the operation and function of the CT Service, in consultation with staff at all levels.
- Ensure all work performed within the modality is accurately entered, recorded, and completed satisfactorily within the RIS (Radiology Information System).

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you are available
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Salary Packaging :
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
- A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is applicable to this role.

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Minimum of five years postgraduate experience in medical imaging

Previous clinical experience within a CT service at Level 3, or the equivalent classification in another service

Completion of a postgraduate qualification in Medical Imaging and/or CT Certification with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT)
