Job description:

Launceston General Hospital is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver high quality services across various acute, rehabilitation and sub-acute services.

Senior Occupational Therapist – Multiple Vacancies (Permanent & Fixed Term)

The Senior OT Role: 

Our Occupational Therapy service in Launceston is a dynamic and close-knit team of over 40 professionals, providing comprehensive care across acute, sub-acute, and community settings throughout northern Tasmania. Details of appointment:

Multiple appointments are available, let us know what works for you: 

  • Permanent, full-time, daytime position, working 76 hours per fortnight (part-time negotiable with the successful applicant).
  • Fixed term, part time, daytime position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

We might also use this selection process to fill subsequent or similar vacancies over the next 12 months. Call us to find out more.

Salary: $110,425 – $121,907 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

 Salary Packaging:

You’ll also have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits.

 Allowances: 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Benefits available to eligible candidates 

  • Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $10,000 for eligible appointees.
  • Professional development and accelerated pathways.
  • Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.
  • Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia
  • Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
