Job description:

The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for the Manager (Budget Development and Advice) position located in the South.

The Role:

  • Provide high level strategic advice and support in relation to the development, management and reporting of the Agency’s budget and overall financial position.
  • Develop and implement Whole of Agency financial policies, procedures and controls designed to improve the overall financial management, budgeting and reporting requirements of the Department of Health.
  • Manage the budget development process and ensure that the Agency’s budget is developed and managed to best achieve financial sustainability within the Government’s and Agency’s financial and policy objectives and overall budgetary parameters.

The Budget Development and Advice team:

  • Manages the budget development process for the whole of the Department of Health
  • Provides consolidated reporting and analysis on the Agency's budget and overall financial position to the Department's Executive
  • Provides support to corporate and policy areas across the Agency including the provision of financial analysis and advice.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $139,470 - $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
