The Role:
- Mersey-Leven Community Health Nursing and Home Care service (MLCHN& HCS) operates within a primary Health framework to deliver nursing and home care services to clients within our catchment area. Our catchment area covers from Ulverstone in the west, to Baker Beach in the East and South to Lorinna and Moina.
- Nursing care includes medication assistance, management of chronic and complex wounds (including Negative Pressure Wound Therapy), management of venous access devices (PIVC/CVAD), indwelling and suprapubic catheter changes and management, palliative care (including syringe driver management), post-acute care following discharge from hospital and medication management including support and management of medication via various routes and devices.
You will need:
- Sound knowledge of Primary Health Care principles and nursing care procedures and practices in the community setting.
- Demonstrated clinical assessment, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as member of a multidisciplinary team.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent full time and part time, shift worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 2 March 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current Driver’s Licence
