The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service
Tasmania is part of a nationwide program of work that is delivering innovations in the treatment of eating disorders. The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a new service that will deliver integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder. This includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, North West and South as well as a statewide and Residential Recovery Program (RRP).
The Project Officer will support the Manager - Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) in the development, delivery, and operationalisation of the TEDS across the state.

The Role
- Provide project support to the Manager, TEDS regarding the development and delivery of TEDS. This includes the undertaking of high level administrative and project related work, applying contemporary project management principles and methodologies to ensure that service development are kept to agreed timeframes and key outputs are delivered.
- Actively contribute to, and participate in, the planning, development, implementation and review of frameworks, systems, and databases associated with the operationalisation of TEDS.
- Provide specialist advice on complex activities in relation to TEDS.
- Provide in-depth research and investigation on a range of services regarding the development and delivery of TEDS. This may include the review of contemporary scientific research, clinical protocols and treatment models relevant to eating disorders, and adapting these to Tasmania, incorporating lived experience feedback as an essential component of the evidence base.
- Coordinate the development and effective implementation of Policies and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and workplans and guidelines for TEDS. This may include continuously reviewing current policies/procedures, identifying issues, and working collaboratively with the Manager to develop new policies/processes relevant to TEDS service delivery and initiatives.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of twelve months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $95,393 - $100,067 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Experience and/or knowledge of eating disorders, including evidence based treatment
- Experience in project management, project support or service design
