Job description:

Carry out a range of duties associated with maintaining food preparation, service and waste management areas in a clean hygienic sate with the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).

The Role:  

  1. Ability to maintain all food service equipment and surfaces in a clean and hygienic state.
  2. Experience in the use of food preparation equipment, together with knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to comply with, safe food handling requirements.
  3. Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions, and to cooperate with other personnel within the department to work successfully as a team.
  4. An understanding of, and ability to comply with, workplace health and safety requirements.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, shift worker, not working weekends but working Public Holidays, working 70 hours per fortnight, to commence 27 January 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $59,443 per annum, Pro rata. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Award/Agreement - Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
