The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Patient Safety contributes to the successful positioning of the Quality and Patient Safety service through the provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare both internally and externally, by supporting the clinical areas to operate effective clinical services in accordance with the Department of Health and Quality and Patient Safety objectives.

You will need:
- Broad clinical and operational experience within a complex health care environment encompassing acute, sub-acute and primary health services; with a demonstrated understanding of patient safety.
- Extensive knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation processes including risk management, undertaking investigations, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other accreditation related standards and activities.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to influence and motivate staff.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
