The Role:
- Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of the Child and Adolescent, Adult Community, Inpatient and Extended Treatment and Older Persons Mental Health Service based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework.
- Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of Child and Adolescent, Adult Community, Inpatient and Extended Treatment and Older Persons Mental Health Service and their families or carers.
- Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.
You will need
- A minimum of two years post graduate employment in a clinical area directly applicable to the Child and Adolescent, Adult Community, Inpatient and Extended Treatment and/or Older Persons Mental Health Service area.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of mental health in relation to the Child and Adolescent, Adult Community, Inpatient and Extended Treatment and Older Persons Mental Health Service area with the ability to provide appropriate assessment of mental health problems.
- Demonstrated expertise in the theoretical and practical application of a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to the Child and Adolescent, Adult Community and Older Persons Mental Health Service area with the ability to acquire further expertise into the future.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 May 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:
$110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Allowances:
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW
