Job description:

Be an integral part of statewide graduate nursing recruitment processes supporting the career progression of newly graduated nurses across Hospitals North and Primary Care

The Role:

  • Support the career progression of newly graduated nurses across Hospitals North and Primary Care
  • Partner with the operational teams to ensure our graduate nurses are successful in their transition to the profession
  • Be an integral part of statewide graduate nursing recruitment processes
  • It is preferrable that the successful applicant have a valid driver's licence, as the role involves travel to Health North and Primary Care sites, including the North West and District Hospitals

The Education and Training team at Hospitals North are a dynamic and diverse group of education specialists providing learning and development opportunities to Nurses, Midwives and the broader interdisciplinary team. The LGH is a major clinical teaching site that partners with many education providers. All our learning and development programs focus on delivering excellence in healthcare and the ongoing learning and development of our staff.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker, working up to 56 hours per fortnight, from 20 January 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023

Allowances:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
