Job description:

Provide bioinformatic expertise as part of a team of professional staff engaged in microbial genomic analyses across multiple disciplines for clinical and public health microbiology. Demonstrate competence and proficiency compatible with their level of experience in the provision of this service. Contribute to new initiatives, particularly related to bioinformatics, in the Molecular Medicine Laboratory.

The role:

The RHH Molecular Medicine Dept offers a wide range of microbial and human molecular diagnostics and genomics services.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary: $71,441 - $107,878 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution.
