The Role:
As a senior member of the Cardiac Physiologist team within the Department of Cardiology, the Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiographer contributes to the provision and development of an efficient, high-quality Echocardiography service at the Hospitals South
- Significant experience as a Cardiac Physiologist in the field of echocardiography.
- Work across a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Work as part of a well-supported team that cares for all patient complexities.

The Team:
Royal Hobart Hospital is the largest hospital in Tasmania and the major specialist referral centre. Cardiac Physiologists at the Royal Hobart Hospital pride themselves on being a cohesive and hard-working team that works together for the benefit of all patients in our care, working within a highly supportive wider Cardiology team.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term part time, day worker (with on-call), working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing 11 November 2024 until 30 June 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,966 to $118,114 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

Eligibility for accreditation in Australia by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)

Experience in paediatric echocardiography

At least 3 years postgraduate experience
- Current Driver’s Licence
