The Role:
- Responsibility to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in allocated areas, including removal of garbage and collection/distribution of linen.
- Negotiating specific cleaning requirements with Nurse Unit Manager.
- Exercise reasonable care in the performance of duties consistent with WH&S Legislation in relation to infection control.
- Assists with orientation and training of staff as required.
- Adheres to confidentiality guidelines.

The Team:
The Alcohol and Drug Service is a statewide service for clients seeking support for substance use issues. You will be based in the Inpatient Withdrawal Unit situated in New Town and your role will support the medical team in the care of clients from all areas of Tasmania. The Inpatient unit also supports a broader sector of Alcohol and Drug services including the NGO Alcohol and Drug sector.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $55,466 - $57,712 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
