The Role:
- Provide a high standard of clinical care in accordance to professional standards, best practice and person-centred care to patients at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) and Repatriation site.
- Collaborates within podiatry and multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of high-quality health care to improve the foot health of patients.
- Leads and/or participates in quality improvement, research and education of self and others.
- Proven ability to function independently as well as the capacity to contribute and collaborate within a team environment to achieve patient and podiatry service goals.
- Well-developed organisational, decision making and time management skills, demonstrating an ability to be adaptable and to prioritise daily workload in a complex environment often subject to workload pressures.

The Team:
The Podiatry department in Hobart is ready to welcome you to its team. An opportunity is available for an experienced Podiatrist to join the Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) team to provide restorative and rehabilitation services to older people, to promote movement and independence in activities of daily living that help to retain function and reduce decline. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in expanding inpatient podiatry services and join a multidisciplinary team.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility:
Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Podiatry Board of Australia.
The following requirements are desirable:
- 5 years clinical podiatry experience or demonstrated ability to work in a senior position
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Holds or working towards post graduate studies
Position Features: The Podiatry South team is based at the Telstra building in Hobart with outpatient services delivered at this site, inpatient services are delivered at the RHH and the Repat site.
