The role:

Lead and manage a range of inpatient/residential/community based services provided from the Beaconsfield District Health Service including the management of resources; and undertake a leadership role in ensuring that clinical and support services/infrastructure meet quality and safety standards and are in accordance with Agency performance objectives and community expectations.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of strong communication links within the Agency and with other government and non-government agencies, community health service providers and other key groups and consumers regarding health service priorities.

Beaconsfield District Health Service, located in the west Tamar region, is close to national parks, nature reserves, beautiful beaches and of course, West Tamar wineries! The list of things to do in this beautiful region is endless, and all just 40 minutes drive along the highway from Launceston.
As a senior leader in the Primary Health North team, you will lead a small team of committed staff as they deliver the best possible care and service to our residents, inpatients and community clients. We are a multipurpose centre and have
- The benefit of being part of the Hospitals North network consisting of 1 tertiary hospital, 8 rural hospitals and a variety of community services.
- Recently reopened our hospital beds, so have 4 subacute beds alongside 18 residential beds. The GP practice supporting our hospital was recognised as the RACGP Tasmanian General Practice of the Year 2024
- We offer day centre, community nursing, home help and personal care services and have visiting allied health and other services. 2
Details of Appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 27 October 2024 until 29 March 2025.

Salary: $134,445 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
