Job description:

This position is responsible for providing high level, authoritative, specialised advice and support in relation to specifically commissioned Information and Communications Technology Services (ICTS) projects.

The Role:

The Principal Project Consultant will work in close partnership with various Department of Health (DoH) stakeholders to: 

  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support in the provision of best practice project management services, including change management and business analysis.
  • Manage a range of Digital Health and IT related projects.
  • Identify and understand business issues and challenges and provide solutions that will deliver measurable benefits in line with the broader Digital Health and ICT goals and plans of the organisation.
  • Manage and drive the delivery of solutions to complex issues/requirements into the ‘live’ environment working with vendors, the impacted departments, ICT Services, and other potential service providers.
  • Ensure the effective transition and management of initiatives, changes and/or solutions into ‘live’ operations.

The Team:

The Digital Technology Services team within Health ICT is responsible for the life cycle and enterprise management of end device hardware including workstations and video conferencing.  The team has a presence in multiple major sites - in Hobart, Launceston, Latrobe and Burnie.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of six month.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $124,371 - $130,905 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
  • You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
