Job description:

Child and Youth Services Executive Office is seeking an Executive Officer to provide high level support and advice associated with the administrative functions of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service. This position will be based in Hobart and is a Southern Tasmania-based role. This position leads and provides executive support for the Group Director – CAMHS and the Statewide Clinical Specialty Director – CAMHS, delegating tasks to other executive support staff as appropriate.

Through CAMHS Reform, clinical services in Tasmania are under development with many exciting professional, developmental and research opportunities available. New CAMHS programs that are being implemented including dedicated services for children in Out of Home Care, a youth forensic mental health service and a youth mental health service for young people aged 16-24 years.

Our vision is to provide world class, innovative mental health care to support our children and young people live life to the fullest with the best possible health and social outcomes.

The role will include:

  • Managing and coordinating the administrative and business support processes and reporting activities within the CYMHS Executive office to achieve agreed service delivery performance targets, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and confidentiality.
  • Responsibility for coordinating the delivery of high-quality administrative services to relevant stakeholders, which includes allocating the most appropriate resources and supervising, directing and supporting the administrative staff working across Child and Youth Mental Health Services
  • Providing leadership and support to the administration staff across the Child and Youth Mental Health Services to ensure statewide consistency in team administration functions.

 Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary: $95,393 - $100,067 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

  1. Current Working with Children Registration

    *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
