Job description:

The Project Nurse works autonomously and receives broad direction and advice from the Nursing Director Pathway to Excellence and Magnet, or delegate, and will: Manage and coordinate relevant nursing and midwifery projects and programs. Provide professional leadership to model and promote a learning culture that strives to achieve high standards in nursing and midwifery. Utilise a highly developed knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements of the nursing and midwifery professions and its application to clinical practice in a complex and diverse multidisciplinary environment.

The role:

The Tasmanian Health Service Hospitals North Pathway to Excellence and Magnet Unit:

  • The Tasmanian Health Service Hospitals North Pathway to Excellence and Magnet Unit works within the Office of the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery Services – Hospitals North.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team driving organisation wide Nursing and Midwifery excellence, championing quality improvement and outstanding professional practice. 
  • This role provides the opportunity for professional growth and leadership opportunities by working collaboratively with professional disciplines and clinical areas across the organisation.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker, position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agree upon date. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary:  $111.506 - $118,336 pro rata, per annum + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse or Midwife

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
