We are seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses in the following areas located in the southern region:

  • Medical and Cancer Services (General Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Respiratory, Stroke, Endocrine)
  • Surgical Services (Orthopaedic, Trauma, General Surgical, Vascular, Burns, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Urology, Scrub/scout, Anaesthetics and Recovery)
  • Sub-acute and Community Services (Acute Geriatrics, Fast and Slow Stream Rehab, Community, Rural and Remote Nursing, Palliative Care)
  • Critical Care services: Emergency Department, Medical Imaging
  • Permanent Pool (Nurse Bank)

Appointment details:

  • Permanent, full time and part time shift work (fully rotational), working up to 76 hours per fortnight.
  • Salary range from $68,913 to $81,737, per annum, pro-rata plus penalty rates, plus 11% superannuation.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility:

You will be required to meet the following essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse

The Head of the State Service has determined that the people nominated for these vacancies are to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. Crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty.
  5. serious traffic offences (for roles requiring a driver’s licence)
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
