Job description:

The Department of Health are seeking a highly self-motivated Clinical Lead - Consultation Liaison to join their Alcohol and Drug Service Team in North.

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Consultation Liaison (522413) and only one position will be filled on merit.

The role:

As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality alcohol and other drug services in accordance with the Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Lead will provide high level support to the Team Leader within the Alcohol and Drug Service North in the provision of:

  • Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community consultation and liaison alcohol and other drug service.
  • As directed by the Team Leader, effective management of specified human and physical resources.
  • Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the implementation of the Alcohol and Drug Service consultation and liaison statewide model of care and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
  • Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 28 February 2025.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $120,114 - $134,268 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Location: Launceston

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or
  2. Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
  3. Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

  1. A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical experience in the context of an alcohol and other drug service.
  2. Holds or is working towards tertiary qualification in the Alcohol and/or Other Drugs (AOD) field.
  3. Current Driver’s Licence.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
