We are seeking Radiation Therapist who can carry out planning and treatment of patients with x-rays, electrons or radiation from sealed sources as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Associated duties include patient care, general and technical administration.

Have you ever wanted to experience life as a Tasmanian? Come and try it out.

We have opportunities for short term contracts for Radiation Therapist's in the stunning North West of our state with the possibility of extending the appointment period and also potential for permanent opportunities in the future. Join us and experience our breath-taking coastlines, National Parks, and incredible fresh produce crafted by locals.

Why are we?

Your career as a Radiation Therapist can take you anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. You will be encouraged to be yourself, to learn, to grow and explore our island state. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.  After a hard day at work, you don’t sit in traffic for an hour. You decompress with a meandering coastal drive, a relaxed walk through town, or you put on your boots and tell it to a mountain.

We offer an inclusive and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice. Our Radiation Therapists are a key component of the multidisciplinary team who guide patients through their treatment journey. We provide External Beam Radiotherapy, seamless Varian planning to treatment and we use 2 Truebeam Linacs.

You will be joining a diverse team of 24 - a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanians who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. We’ll actively support your career development through dedicated education support, and a teaching culture.

This is opportunity within our Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre includes support for relocation and accommodation. For more information about this opportunity, please email or phone Dave Gration, our Chief Radiation Therapist: david.gration@ths.tas.gov.au or (03) 6493 6039
