Job description:

Exciting and rare opportunity to join the Staffing & Support Clinical Coach team in the Integrated Operations Centre of Royal Hobart Hospital.

The role:

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join the Integrated Operations Centre Staffing & Support Clinical Coach team. You'll be joining an intimate and dynamic leadership team to support and shape the orientation and practice development for the casual and support staff of THS-South. As our new Clinical Coach, we'll be looking to you to provide leadership, clinical expertise and promote a learning culture to support Tasmanian's receiving the 'right care, in the right place by the right staff'.

The Registered Nurse/Midwife - Clinical Coach:

  • Contributes to workplace activities and works collaboratively in assisting and supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in achieving the goals of the service by contributing to workplace activities beyond the immediate responsibility of delivering clinical care to clients. This will include the Clinical Coach Portfolio, with active involvement in clinical education; clinical leadership and management; safety and quality; and practice development.
  • Contributes to positive client outcomes by facilitating the competence and confidence of novice clinicians via clinical coaching.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time or part time, day worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $96,558 - $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type 
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
  • Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and/or a Registered Midwife (for midwifery settings only)

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. A minimum of three years’ experience within the setting
  2. Possess or working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications appropriate to clinical area
  3. Membership with the relevant professional organisation (e.g. Australian College of Nursing, ACM, ACORN, ACCCN)
