The Role

The Tasmanian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (TPRS) is seeking a part-time Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist. Become a part of our dedicated team of allied health, medical and nursing staff working with children and young people under a newly established Model of Care developed through co-design with patients, families and clinicians. Successful candidates will embrace our shared vision, mission, and values, which together support the delivery of child and family centred care. 

As a TPRS occupational therapist, you will provide inpatient and outpatient care to children 0-18 years of age with a functional impairment due to complex health conditions.  The Senior Occupational Therapist is supported by a Clinical Lead, a diverse Occupational Therapy Service and the interdisciplinary TPRS team. We are a dynamic and growing team who provide caring and creative services – come and join us!

Details of appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$117,272 to $126,182 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2025

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

Allowances

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia.
  • Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Current Working with Children Registration

  • Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area
  • Current Driver’s License
