Libraries Tasmania is a unique organisation, providing contemporary library and archives services to all Tasmanians. Libraries Tasmania is responsible for Tasmania's public library network, covering 47 locations statewide, and for the State Library and Archives of Tasmania. The State Library and Archives preserves and shares Tasmania's documentary heritage and works with communities and government agencies across the state to ensure that diverse stories, records, and histories are collected and accessible for future generations.

About the Role

Co-ordinate and supervise the work of library technicians and collections officers to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer-focused services, and provide technical direction, general supervision and advice as required. Modify established technical and professional solutions to resolve operational problems and issues. Undertake and resolve complex client queries including provision of technical advice about access to publications and information generally and provide advice to senior staff regarding modification of policies and procedures as required.

We are looking for

Essential

• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment

Desirable

• Relevant diploma from a discipline such as Library and Information Studies, Information Technology, Museum Studies or Fine Arts.
